A decadent and very flavorful Champagne with bread-dough, praline, pie-crust and apple-tart aromas and flavors. Full body. Creamy and flavorful. Extremely long and delicious. Drink now.

(all pinot noir, from Ambonnay; L12050): Vivid yellow. Intense, mineral-accented orchard fruit and cherry scents, with notes of dried rose, smoky minerals and anise adding complexity. Stains the palate with concentrated strawberry and orange zest flavors, becoming spicier with air. Clings with excellent tenacity on the finish, with the smoke and mineral notes emphatically repeating.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, the NV Brut Grand Cru Perle Noire is a gastronomic Blanc de Noirs Champagne. The current cuvée is entirely based on 2006 and was disgorged October 2014 with a dosage of seven grams. Yellow-golden in color, the wines starts clear and fruit intense on the nose, also revealing a very nice purity and minerality. Full-bodied, complex and dry on the palate, this is an expressive and persistent champagne with character that wants to be drunk from a bigger glass with veal, chicken or Parmesan cheese.

Wine & Spirits Magazine: 91 pts

There's tart fruit at the center of this wine, kumquat and nectarine flavors that feel juicy and brisk. It's balanced by salty minerality, both in the nerve of the acidity and in the oxidative seashell-Fino Sherry note. A classic match for oysters.

Wine Enthusiast: 90 pts

Effectively a Blanc de Noirs, made from 100% Pinot Noir, this fresh wine has weight and richness. It is full, packed with acidity and pink grapefruit flavors that cut through the ripe texture. It is a food wine, rich and full-bodied.

International Wine Report: 90 pts

The 'Perle Noire' displays a pretty nose of toasted brioche, fig, white raisin, marzipan, candied lemon and almond. It is a full-bodied champagne and bringings lots of fresh fruit and acidity. (Best 2014-2019) - October, 2013 (MD)
