Old Town Distilling Co. started in Fort Collins, Colorado by master distiller Jeremy Kempter in 2005, and was then established in 2014 as the first certified organic distillery in Northern Colorado, and as Colorado’s first organic bourbon and rye whiskey producer. Production of small batch distillations of whiskey, vodka and gin all come from a hand-hammered alembic copper pot still manufactured by the Hoga family in Portugal, who are world-renowned for their artisanal still making.

Old Town uses organic grains sourced from the Motherlove Legacy Farm in Johnstown, Colorado, 10 miles away from the distillery door. Everything is then milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, barreled, blended, proofed and packaged all with in-house equipment. All products are pot distilled to USDA organic certification standards for quality and purity. In addition to using organic grains, Old Town is dedicated to minimizing their carbon footprint by using locally sourced materials and repurposing spent mash as feed for local livestock farmers.

The barrel aged products are stored in an uninsulated rick house, imparting enormous temperature fluctuations which result in incredibly unique, very small batches of Bourbon and Rye.
