Hannes Reeh is a young, modest winemaker. The place where this unconventional winemaker produces his wines is located in Andau, the wine-growing area of Neusiedlersee in Burgenland. Andau lies in the most eastern corner of Seewinkel, directly on the Austro-Hungarian border. The village has one decisively special feature - with 2,400 hours of sunshine per year. It is the most sunny town in Austria and it is the most uniquely warm for winegrowing there. Zweigelt naturally shows its ability to thrive in this microclimate, with lots of passion and a natural touch, Hannes Reeh does what he enjoys most – and has a great deal of success with it. Zweigelt is his favorite variety, and makes up 60 % of his vineyards, which are composed of red gravel and sandy soils.
