Gristmill is a New York state farm distillery focusing on a homegrown  approach from grain to glass. The Adirondack Park, home to Gristmill Distillers is six million acres of protected land, designated Forever Wild by the New York State Constitution in 1894. For over a century, the mountains have been a haven for hikers, climbers, cyclists, fishermen, and skiers. Water flows straight from a spring within a few paces of the distillery’s front door. The corn for the mash is grown by Adirondack Hay & Grains in nearby Essex, NY and rye comes from other local farms. Gristmill’s barrels are made to order from M&D Staves, formally U.S. Barrels, the oldest cooperage in the northeast.
