MacRobert & Canals Garnacha 'Laventura' 2016

Wine Advocate: 93pts

Produced with grapes from a vineyard covered by boulders with silt, clay and limestone at some 500 meters in altitude in the village of Tudelilla, the 2016 Laventura Garnacha is floral and expressive, a characteristic from the 2016 wines, augmented by the Garnacha aromas. The destemmed grapes fermented in 600-liter oak barrels, where the wine matured for 12 months. This has contained ripeness, poise and elegance, with red fruit and a light to medium-bodied palate; it feels lean and has fine-grained, chalky tannis. There are 1,500 bottles of this. it was bottled in December 2017.
