The 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Rio Sordo is a dark and supple wine with prune, plum, dried cherry, tar and tobacco. The wine offers all the qualities you should expect of Nebbiolo (from a warm vintage) with good aromatic intensity and a velvety texture. The mouthfeel shows sour cherry favors with good acidity and integrated tannins.
