H. Blin Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs NV

Wine and Spirits Magazine: 93pts

This is Pinot Meunier from the Marne Valley village of Vincelles, where Blin, a cooperative of 110 growers specializes in the variety. They offer this 100 percent Meunier without dressing it up, allowing its rustic charms and beauty to show. And it’s easy to fall in love with this win, drawn in the springtime scent of flowers and strawberries, fresh and completely clean but for an extra layer of something a little sweaty and intriguing, a hint of darkness from the clay soils adding perspective to what is otherwise a bright and sunny Champagne.

James Suckling: 91 pts

Some rich, red-apple, strawberry and peach aromas lead to a pink grapefruit-flavored palate with such satisfyingly fleshy and attractively ripe resolve. Drink now.

Wine Spectator: 90 pts

Green apple and black cherry fruit flavors are layered with pastry cream, biscuit and aromatic herb accents in this personable Champagne, carried by the creamy mousse and lively acidity. Drink now. 2,000 cases made.
