In 1973, René and Thérèse Lamy, both stemming from wine-growing families, created their domaine in the hamlet of Morgeot in Chassagne-Montrachet. Originally only having vineyard sites in the village of Chassagne Montrachet, the estate extended throughout to include sites in surrounding towns. Today, Lamy boasts 20 ha of vineyards located in Côte de Beaune, Saint Aubin, Santenay, Chassagne Montrachet, Meursault and Beaune.
Domaine Lamy produces around 80.000 to 120.000 bottles from 30 different appellations of white and red wines exclusively from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Every stage of viticulture, winemaking and the sales are done and controlled by family members, which now includes the daughters of Thérèse and Remy.
