Bernard Lax, the Founder of Kin, was inspired by local moonshining traditions to create a white whiskey that takes moonshine into the modern era. The result was a product that is smoother and makes for more easy drinking, without obscuring what makes white whiskey unique. Kin distills in Bend, Oregon, using local and organically grown corn and toasted barley, as well as some of the best quality water you can find in the U.S. The White Whiskey is distilled only once via traditional copper still to retain its fresh, smooth quality and tropical flavors.
As a perfect complement to the White Whiskey, Kin also offers an aged bourbon. Their Straight Bourbon is distilled from corn, rye, and malted barley via the same traditional copper pot still process - then finished in new American oak barrels to impart a smooth richness with warm flavors of caramel and coffee.
