The Bitter ‘Rouge’ was originally produced by the historic wine cellar and liqueur producing factory ‘Baracco de Baracho’, at its location in Via Nizza, Turin. Production began in the early 1900s and lasted until the 1960s when wineamaking laws were changed. After that, wine production was reserved – as it continues today – to Castellinaldo d’Alba, the historical site of the company.

The liqueur production then moved to the green, lush, and pristine Valchiusella, with a dedicated focus on wellbeing and ecology. The inspired infusion of herbs and botanicals are done  by the traditional and historic methods - gently and only by hand, to ensure the purist and most expressive aromas and flavors.

Rouge’s singular profile is based in the spiced fragrances of the coast of Africa, Central and South America; harmonized and enhanced by the historic Turin’s liquoristic 'savoir faire’.
