Silky and aromatic, boasting rose, cherry, strawberry and spice notes, this is well-structured and firm, yet beautifully balanced between fruit and woodsy flavors, revealing sweetness, tannins and a minerally aftertaste. Classic elegance from Castiglione Falletto. Best from 2017 through 2032. 400 cases made.
James Suckling: 93pts
A wine with soft, silky tannins and pretty plum character. It’s full-bodied, round-textured and delicious already but needs at least two or three years of bottle age to come completely together. Try in 2016.

The 2010 Barolo Villero shows a light garnet color and loads of wild berry intensity. The crisp acidity stands out nicely and adds a tingle to the tongue. This is a tradition-minded wine aged in neutral and Slovenian oak. Drink: 2017-2029.
