A wine with soft, silky tannins and pretty plum character. It’s full-bodied, round-textured and delicious already but needs at least two or three years of bottle age to come completely together. Try in 2016.

The ‘Villero' is dazzling in 2010, bursting with gorgeous aromas of fresh strawberries and cherries followed by tar, mint and spring flowers. It possesses a fantastic structure with a gorgeous texture, supported by silky tannins that caress all the way into the long finish, leaving you chewing through sweet red fruits and spices. Overall, the 'Villero' is is a beautiful, classy Barolo that shows great poise and will only contunie to get better with time. (Best 2018-2030) - July, 2014 (JD)

The 2010 Barolo Villero shows a light garnet color and loads of wild berry intensity. The crisp acidity stands out nicely and adds a tingle to the tongue. This is a tradition-minded wine aged in neutral and Slovenian oak. Drink: 2017-2029.
