International Wine Report: 93pts
Elegant and refined the 2012 Brunate Barolo from Oddero opens with pretty aromatics of fresh strawberries and dried cherries along with dusty leather, tar and spices all taking shape in the glass. Displaying excellent balance, this offers a lovely textue driven by fine-grained, silky tannins leading into the long chewy finish. Today the Brunate is already showing beautiful and I can only imagine it will continue to evolve gracefully over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - August, 2017 (JD)

Enticing aromas of cherry, rose and spice lead off, while the flavors pick up tar and tobacco, echoing the spice. This is rich and balanced, with oak tannins adding another layer on the long sweet-fruit finish. Best from 2018 through 2032. 180 cases made.
