International Wine Report: 93pts
Oddero has a wonderful reputation for making some of the most compelling wines from the region while keeping to a traditional style, and the 2013 Barolo does not disappoint. Refined and precise, this Barolo opens to gorgeous aromas of strawberries, dried cherries, rose petals, mint and dusty leather whihc all come together and soar from the glass. This demonstrates remarkable balance and definition, as it delivers wonderful flavors of red fruits, spices and leather which remain beautifully focused through the long finish. Overall, this is a fantastic showing which is already extreamly appealing, but also possesses the potential to evolve gracefully with time. (Best 2018-2027) - August, 2017 (JD)
