International Wine Report: 95pts
The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is an excellent showing from Lisini in this vintage. This classicly styled Brunello slowly opens to beautiful aromas of fresh red cherries and plums, which are nuanced by pretty florals, spices and hints of leather notes all coming together beautifully. Medium to full-bodied, refined and well-structured with fine, silky tannins and a long, lingering finish of red fruits and spices make this completely compelling. While this is already displaying plenty of early appeal, it will require a bit more bottle age before it begins to hit its stride. (Best 2019-2030) - February, 2017 (JD)
Wine Spectator: 94pts
This is round, exuding black cherry and blackberry flavors, allied to a pliable profile. The acidity and tannins emerge on the finish, where everything falls into place. Fine freshness, tobacco and mineral details emerge in the end. Best from 2020 through 2033. 2,000 cases made.

At once powerful and graceful, this delivers alluring aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry, raspberry compote, grilled herb, licorice and an intriguing tarry note. Fresh acidity and firm, velvety tannins provide balance and structure, while a hint of pipe tobacco closes the lingering finish. Drink 2020–2032.
