The 2015 Spitzer Point Grüner Veltliner Smaragd is deep and rich on the nose. Full-bodied, rich and piquant on the palate, with stunning vitality, firm tannin grip and the typical power of 2015, this is an opulent and mighty Grüner Veltliner with a refreshing and mineral structure. This is surely a long-distance runner, but I'd keep it under the screwcap for a decade. Tasted in July 2017.
