Elizabeth Chambers Cellar Pinot Noir Temperance Hill 2014

Wine Enthusiast: 94 pts

This young winery continues to impress. This deep, dark, concentrated wine builds upon black cherry, vivid acids, a touch of Meyer lemon, and a powerful midpalate that unveils some gently savory notes along the way. The extended, seamless finish brings a pleasing touch of baking spices.

Vinous: 93 pts

Deep vivid red. Powerful cherry, black raspberry and blood orange scents, along with smoky mineral and floral nuances. Concentrated yet lively in character, offering bitter cherry, blackberry and cola flavors that tighten up steadily on the back half. Plays power off finesse with a sure hand and finishes impressively long and gently sweet, with fine-grained tannins sneaking in late.
