The Lisini winery covers an area of 154 hectares and is located in the southern part of Montalcino, in the municipality of Sant'Angelo in Colle, overlooking the Orcia Valley. The winery is steeped in the area’s most beautiful and wild landscapes: gently rolling woodland, vineyards and gorgeous olive groves. Before the boom of Brunello di Montalcino, Lisini was already known for the quality of their Extra Virgin Olive Oil which they still produce, from the same generous geographical and climatic features that determine the quality of the grapes. Lisini was one of just 25 wineries to establish the Brunello Consortium in 1967, and has always been deeply involved in promoting the cultivation of Sangiovese. The present estate covers a total of 160 hectares, 24 of which are under vine, producing 60,000 bottles per year. All vineyards are cultivated using minimum chemical interference in an effort to naturally express and respect the terroir. The grapes are all hand selected and aged in Slavonian oak.
The Lisini’s are represented by Lorenzo Lisini Baldi, Carlo Lisini Baldi and Ludovica Lisni. If the geographic location and exposure of the vineyards play a primary role in the achievement of quality wine, an equally important role is played by the people who have worked for years with passion and dedication in order to maintain the highest of quality in their wines.
