Doyle Hinman opened Hinman Vineyards in 1979. By 1988, the winery had become Oregon’s top selling winery. In 1991, Carolyn Chambers, a businesswoman from Eugene, Oregon, acquired the winery. Carolyn’s daughter, Liz, has managed the day-to-day operations of the winery since 1995 and became sole proprietor in 2012 upon Carolyn's passing.

Today, Hinman Vineyards has grown to produce approximately 8,000 cases of wine per year. The wines are produced and bottled in the Southern Willamette Valley. Only the best quality grapes are sourced from the Rogue and Willamette Valleys, with the exception of Hinman’s upcoming Sweet Rosé, which comes from Washington. Hinman creates the perfect Pacific Northwest wines in an elegant and expressive style.
