Domaine Damien Martin was created in 1975 by Damien Martin’s father, Robert with a mere two and a half hectares of vines portioned off from the family domaine founded by his father and now run by his two elder brothers.  The property is located in the village of Davaye, known for its prime location in the Mâconnais of southern Burgundy. In 2010 Damien began working alongside his father, and together they have expanded the estate to include 18 hectares of vines including some of the prestige crus of the region.  Damien now manages all aspects of the viticulture and winemaking with a deep love and respect for the traditions of the Mâconnais.

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir flourish in the limestone rich soils of Davaye, which date back to the Jurassic period and are prime examples of Burgundian terroir. Each parcel of vineyard is delineated and vinified individually in order to express the subtle differences in climate and slope exposure. The Martin family farms it’s vineyards with great care and attention to detail, and is currently in the process of converting to certified organic viticulture. In 2018 the domaine received the High Environmental Value certification, which is regarded as the European standard for environmental sustainability.
